Using LGTM

Reading LGTM needs no account. To send in a post, you sign in with X. You must be at least 13, allowed to use X, and following X’s terms.

Use one X account. Don’t use extra accounts, scripts, or automation to get around LGTM’s limits.

What you send in

You can send in posts written by other people, each with a one-line pitch on why it’s worth reading. You can’t send in your own posts.

Your pitch must be your own words. Don’t send in anything unlawful, harassing, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading. Don’t send in posts you are paid to promote, and don’t use a pitch to advertise.

What you send in is public. That includes your X handle, your pitch, the post, and what LGTM decides about it, including any note from an editor.

You keep any rights you have in your pitch. You let LGTM show, store, and share it with your handle on LGTM and in emails and posts about LGTM. This permission continues for anything already published after you stop using LGTM.

The board

LGTM decides what runs on the board, where it appears, and for how long. Sending in a post does not guarantee it runs. LGTM can decline or remove any post or pitch at any time, without notice, and can stop an account from sending in posts if it breaks these terms.

Posts belong to their authors. LGTM shows a post’s text with credit and a link to the original on X, and refreshes it so edits and deletions on X are reflected.

No guarantees

LGTM is provided as is. LGTM does not promise that the site is always available, accurate, or free of errors. Posts and pitches are their authors’ views, not LGTM’s.

As far as the law allows, Indie Thinkers is not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using LGTM.

Changes and contact

LGTM may change these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Using LGTM after a change means you accept it.
