Everything got pwn'd. I tried to warn you.
Everyone in tech is panicking about security right now. But outside of it, almost nobody knows anything is wrong. I wrote this so you don’t have to be the one explaining it to your family. Just send them this.
Introducing Kimi K3.1 Pro: our most capable 3T-class open-weight model. 🔹 1M-token context, 2.8T total / 104B active params (MoE), Multimodal. 🔹 Full-project coding: games in Unreal, Unity & Godot. 🔹 Excels at parametric 3D modeling in Blender & CAD. 🔹 More reliable at finance work: Accurate modeling with hallucination down by 65%. 🔹 Matching the strongest proprietary models across coding, agentic and knowledge benchmarks. Kimi K3.1 Pro and K3.1 Pro Highspeed (2–3× faster) are now live on Kimi.ai, Kimi Work, Kimi Code, and the Kimi API. i've been a bit quiet - working on a new companion skill that will help your agents draw these beautiful statecharts/diagrams + check them against the specs you made with /create-formal-verification-skill in pstack! it now uses Pele from @kepano too which is why they look so good. will release soon!
The Internet Is Under Attack. Here's How to Protect Yourself and Your Family.
Day 18/ Decisions API is GA, OpenResponses joined the Linux Foundation, we shipped some performance improvements and Uber is going all-in on codex & work. But yes… that’s a reset!
If your company refers to engineers as the IT department, you have nothing to worry about. You were already breached last week.
New on our Frontier Red Team blog: using Claude to formally verify software at large scale. Formal verification can prove that code is free of certain bugs, but historically it has only been feasible for small codebases (or required a lot of expert time). With AI models, however, this is beginning to change. In collaboration with @theoremlabs, we used Claude to prove security properties in over one hundred real-world open-source libraries over the span of a few weeks. I suspect the real reason eMudhra is exiting the SSL business is Google indicated it is most likely going to drop eMudhra from being trusted by Chrome AT ALL, after observing inexplicable incompetence in how they mis-generated their private key for the CA certificate.
Prompt of the day: /grill-me on how a /software-factory might help us Helps you figure out if a software factory can help you, and brainstorms the infra you need to set it up. github.com/mattpocock/ski…
Quest Diagnostics has been hacked. Patient data was exposed. They serve roughly half of U.S. hospitals and physicians. Investigation ongoing.
Grok Bot can now use Calendar, Reminders, Contacts, and more apps on your phone. Rolling out now on iOS and Android.
I have discovered the the BEST way to get 3D modeling results from LLMs The app LiDAR scans the room while taking hundreds of high quality photos. Then a workflow + skill I've created models out every item recursively checking the model against the photo at the exact spot + angle where the photo was captured The result is a a dimensionally accurate and high quality model of your room All in my latest video on how to do it youtube.com/watch?v=JGQCcC…
There is nothing to worry about. Nothing important is run on PHP or old software—except the water & electrical grid, a few government services like our missile defense systems and a handful of electrified fences at the zoo (for the lions, tigers and cobras).
Starting next week, sessions across Claude web, desktop, and mobile apps will run in auto mode by default on Pro, Max, and Team plans. Rather than asking you to approve each step, an automated check blocks risky actions. Switch back to manual anytime.
A San Francisco startup says it just turned mercury into real gold, and their own math says gold is one of the cheapest things their machine can make. Aim it at a different metal and it makes a cancer drug ingredient worth tens of billions of dollars a gram. Here's how it works. When you fuse two kinds of hydrogen, deuterium and tritium, every single reaction kicks out a neutron moving at 14.1 MeV, which is absurdly fast. Fire one into mercury-198 and it knocks another neutron loose on the way through, so two come out and you're left with mercury-197. Give that a few days and it decays into gold-197, the only stable kind of gold there is. The whole trick needs neutrons above about 6 MeV, and regular nuclear reactors barely make those, while fusion makes one every time it fires. Now swap the mercury for radium-226. Same reaction, one neutron in and two out, and you end up with radium-225, which decays into actinium-225. Novartis is building its next prostate cancer drug around actini…
if steve jobs saw you reserving 15% screen width for a single icon and then putting a left side arrow back button on the unreachable right side of the screen he would've personally taken you behind a dumpster and beat you with a metal pipe
